There’s a place where being reborn is easy.
From the way I look to the shape of my moods, I can
make them whatever I want.
Over and over I become someone new.
Everyone I meet there is the same.
And as if there were a promise that you don’t have to
be yourself,
everyone moves like that.
We can all run away,
and we can all fall apart.
But sometimes, we find love.
I am bluemy NO16.
Yoona Love Kim is an artist whose creation is rooted in the exploration of childhood memories, using them as a framework for examining the emotional and technological shifts that shape contemporary life. This series documents her personal experience of digital transformation, an evolution she has witnessed since childhood and one that continues to influence her daily rhythms. Raised in a dual-income household, Yoona grew familiar with solitary mealtimes, once accompanied by television animations and now by YouTube gaming broadcasts. While these moments carry a quiet sense of solitude, she embraces them as part of her lived reality, allowing the comfort, intimacy, and quiet companionship offered by digital spaces to inform her work.
The rapid circulation of images online has also allowed her artwork to be exhibited in places she has never physically visited, expanding the presence of her work beyond geographical limits. Within this rapidly digitalizing world, the one variable she can choose to shape is her own perspective. Yoona elects to view this inevitable transformation with openness and affection. Her work invites viewers to consider: what emotions emerge within you as you encounter this digital landscape through her eyes?
